Great neighborhood coffe shop/cafe

A true local/independent coffee shop/bakery/sandwich shop. ;-) I visit at least two or three times a week and the staff knows what I want when I come in. The sandwiches are great, cookies and scones and such are always delightful and they make these great cheese and sausage biscuits that are only a dollar. It is a 'regular' hangout and it is fun to sit and watch the eclectic part of Montgomery come out.

Being a vegetarian in a city like Montgomery is incredibly difficult. So few restaurants offer healthy options to begin with, and when you start looking for healthy things without meat, you're lucky if you can find even one option on most menus!Cafe Louisa knows how to do tofu just right. They also have great paninis and bagels, and are willing to put up with picky customers who like to "customize" the menu a little. They've also got great coffee and INSANELY great gelato.I love this place because it doesn't belong here. It's a quiet, sweet urban nook in the middle of the dirty dirty Gump. It's a great place for a quiet date or a study break. You've got to try it!
